Pakistan is making changes to its cricket coaching team follඣowing their World Cup disappointment. Former international players Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal have been appointed as bowling coaches. Gul will focus on fast bowling, while Ajmal will oversee the spinners. Their first task is the upcoming test series against Australia.

Gul, who retired in 2020 after playing 237 international matches and taking 427 wickets, has been involved in mentoring, including coaching Afghanistan in 2022. Ajmal, with 212 games and 447 wickets for Pakistan, has also coached in the Pakistan Sup🌱er League.

Morne Morkel resigned as Pakistan’s bowling coach after the World Cup, where Pakistan finished fifth with eight points. Wahab Riaz is now the chief selector, and Shan Masood replaces Babar Azam as captain. Mohammad Hafeez is the new Team Director, succeeding Mickey Arthur, and Shaheen Afridi will lead the T20 side.
