BCCI announced equal pay for men’s and women’s teams

In July, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) created a new history by deciding to end the pay disparity between men and women. According to the new decision, women’s and men’s cricketers will get equal match fees. This time the Indian Cricket Board has also walked on that path. BCCI secretary Jay Shah took these decisions after taking charge of the new term.
Jay Shah said in a tweet on Thursday (October 27), “Today the BCCI has taken the first step to remove discrimination. We are going to give equal salaries to the women cricketers who are contracted with the board. Women’s and men’s cricketers will now be paid an equal amount of match fees. We want to create a new era of gender equality in cricket. ’

Jay Shah also revealed the amount of money. According to his announcement, the cricketers will get Rs 15 lakh in Tests, Rs 6 lakh, and Rs 3 lakh in ODIs and T20Is respectively.
