England last played in Trinidad in 2009. Cricket West Indies (CWI) today released the final schedule for the limited-overs series against England. CWI Chief Executive Jonny Grave said: ‘We are delighted to confirm the England match schedule and create the opportunity to welcome their fans back to the region for the White Ball before Christmas.’
Eight matches of the series will be held from December 3 to 21, including ODIs and T20Is at four venues in Antಞigua, Barbados, Granada, and Trinidad. There are two matches in each venue. West Indies and England will start the series with a three-match ODI in Antigua on December 3. The two t♑eams will play the second ODI at the same venue. The third and final ODI of the series will be held in Barbados on December 9.
The five-match T20 series will begin in Barbados on December 12. The next two matches in Granada will be on December 14 and 16 respectively. The last two T20s of the series will be played at the Brian Lara Academy in Trinidad on December 19 and 21. England will play at this stadium in Trinidad for the first time. Before that, the English played 28 matches at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. West Indies won by 6 wickets in the last T20 held in March 2009.
