India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has maintained her stance regarding her actions during a contentious third One Day International against Bangladesh in Dhaka, even in light of her two-match ban for those actions, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

"I won't say I have any regrets, because as a player, you want to ensure fairness prevails. You have the right to express yourself and convey your feelings," Harmanpreet shared with The Cricket Paper during her participation with Trent Rockets in the Women's Hundred.

"I firmly believe I didn't say anything untoward to any player or individual. I simply conveyed the events as they transpired on the field. There's nothing I regret."

During the Dhaka ODI, Harmanpreet's discontent with the umpiring was evident: her response to her dismissal included striking the stumps with her bat. Moreover, she openly criticized the umpiring as "pathetic" during the post-match presentation.

At the conclusion of the series, Harmanpreet is said to have exclaimed, "bring the umpires too" while the teams posed for end-of-series photographs, suggesting they were aligned with the Bangladesh team.

For "showing dissent at an umpiring decision," Harmanpreet garnered three demerit points, and she accumulated another point for "public criticism" of match officials. These offenses led to fines of 50% and 25% of her match fee, respectively.

According to the ESPNcricinfo report, when a player accumulates four or more demerit points within a span of 24 months, these points transform into suspension points, resulting in a ban from one Test, two ODIs, or two Twenty20 Internationals, depending on scheduling.
