Chasing the target, former captain Sikandar Raja brought Zimbabwe back into the game after losing 2 opener’s wickets for 36 runs. Zimbabwe was on their way to victory with his brilliant batting.

Zimbabwe had only 2 wickets in hand but in the 49th over, Shardul Thakur dismissed Zimbabwe’s star batsman Sikander Raja for just 2 runs. Zimbabwe’s dream of victory faded after Sikandar Raja got out after scoring 115 runs off 95 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes.

Zimbabwe needed 16 runs to win in the last over and had only one wicket in hand. Indian star pacer Avesh Khan was caught in the third ball of the last over and got out, India was in the jubilation of victory. In the end, India managed to control their nerves in tense and exciting conditions and whitewashed hosts Zimbabwe by 3-0 in a 13-run victory.
