Tamim Ikbal has already come back to Bangladesh from UAE due to getting injured in the first match they played against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2018. Tamim couldn’t make his bat contact with the ball which was a bounce▨r delivery bowled by Suranga Lakmal. He was late to play the pull shot he was trying which resulted the𒅌 ball hit his left finger. Two fingers of his left hand had been fractured. He might have to be out of cricket for at least two months.

Mushfiqur Rahim is playing the Asia Cup 2018 with a fractured bone in his ribs. This was one of the reasons why Bang♔ladesh team management decided to have him rested in the match against Afghanistan.

There are concerns with the top allrounder Shakib Al Hasan as well. He said that he was not 100% fit before coming to play the Asia Cup 2018. He also has injury in his finger. He wanted to go for a surgery but BCB wanted him tꦡo do it after playing the Asia cup 2018.

Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes are the latest addition to the Bangladesh Asia Cup squad as Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto have both failed to perform as open💮ing batsmen. When asked, captain Mashrafe Mortaza said that he didn’t know that they were added to the squad. But he showed his concerns and said that it would also be difficult for the newly added players to perform in these conditions right after arriving to UAE. He also wondered whether they had rectified🧜 the technical issues they had for which they were dropped from the team earlier. The former Bangladesh captain and BCB director Akram Khan said to the media that the team management requested for an opening batsman and they didn’t want to take any risk so they sent two opening batsmen. When Shakib Al Hasan was asked whether both the newly added opening batsmen would play the Super Four match against Afghanistan, he said to the journalists that they would get to know that before him as they got the news of newly added players.
