Pieter Seelaar retired midway through the series due to injury

Netherlands bowler Pieter Seelaar has retired from international cricket. He had been playing with a back injury for almost two years. He also felt severe pain in the first ODI against England. In the end, Dutch captain Peter Sealer retired from international cricket.
In his farewell message, Pieter said: “Since 2020, my back problem has worsened to such a point that I have to say with great regret that I can’t give my all anymore. ‘

Pieter made his debut for the Netherlands in 2006. He became the captain of the team in 2018. He has scored 322 runs in 56 one-day matche🌸s for the Netherlanℱds. He took 55 wickets. Peter has scored 591 runs in 77 T20 matches. Peter has taken 58 wickets in T20Is. Peter last took the field in the first one-day match against England on June 17. In that match, England scored 498 runs, which is a world record in one-day cricket. Peter was not on the team in the second match due to back pain.

Scott Edwards will replace Pieter as captain of the Ne🌟therlands team. The 25-year-old wicketkeeper has long been one of the mainstays in the Netherland💮s batting line-up.
