In a surprising turn of events, Banglade🥃sh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan 🎉is reportedly contemplating relinquishing his role as captain of the ODI team, a responsibility he took on just over a month ago.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had reinstated Shakib Al Hasan as the captain of the ODI squad in preparation for the Asia Cup 2023. He was also set to lead the team, known as the ‘Bangla Tigers,’ in the upcoming 50-﷽over World Cup scheduled for October-November in India.

According to insider reports, Shakib has communicated to the BCB his decision not to lead the꧑ team in the prestigious World Cup event. Despite his injury, Tamim has been named in Bangladesh’s 15-member World Cup squad.
