In addition to various tournaments, Mashrafe is also working on the field to make the youth of the district towards cricket. Before the finals of the Narail Super League T20 cricket tournament, which started last month, he gave instructions on the details of the arrangements. He also hopes that good cricketers will emerge from such tournaments. Mashrafe said, ‘To take cricket forward, we want to allow the boys of Narail district, who have even a women’s team. Some outside players will also come here. Five players from outside the Narail district will play, who have previously or recently played in the national team. Bring them here so they can come here and teach the local players who are playing.’Narail Super League final will be held at Bir Shrestha Noor Mohammad Stadium in the district on Sunday (March 5) at 11 am. Mashrafe Bin Mortuza has touched a new milestone in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Only three cricketers held earlier this achievement. Sylhet Strikers captain Mashrafe reached the milestone of playing the 100th match against Chittagong Challengers in the 28th match of BPL on Saturday. Before Mashrafe, wicketkeeper-batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim, Enamul Haque, and Imrul Kayes reached this milestone. They set the precedent of playing the 100th match in the ongoing season.

Mashrafe has been playing since the first season of BPL which started in 2012. Out of 100 matches, he played 95 games as captain. Which is the highest in BPL history. This successful former captain of the Bangladesh team has won 61 matches and lost 34 matches as a captain.
Mashrafe has also won four times as a captain. Mashrafe, the country’s best captain, tasted the title in the jersey of Comilla Victorians and Rangpur Riders for two consecutive seasons for Dhaka Gladiators.

Mashrafe has scored 97 wickets and 539 runs in 100 BPL matches so far as a player.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza last played for Bangladesh in March 2020. It was an ODI match against Zimbabwe in Sylhet. Although he did not retire from international cricket, Mash did not play for Bangladesh again. It is also unknown whether Mashrafe will be sent off from the field or not. But whether it is himself or not, Mashrafe wants Shakib-Tamim’s departure from the field.

Mashrafe is currently in Sylhet to play BPL matches. At the press conference, the Sylhet Strikers captain said that when it is time for the cricketers to retire, the culture of saying goodbye to them from the field should be introduced.
