Pakistan cricketer Wahab Riaz has been appointed as the sports minister of Punjab. News from Cricket Pakistan.

After Parvez Elahi, Mohsin Naqvi took over as the Chief Minister of Punjab and dissolved the Assembly. He announced the name of the 11-member caretaker cabinet. Wahab has been appointed as the Sports Minister.

Wahab Riaz is currently having a busy time in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). It is expected that he will return to the country to take over as a minister during the BPL.

Wahab Riaz was part of the 2017 Champions Trophy-winning team. He has 237 wickets in all formats for Pakistan.
