Bangladesh ODI captain, Tamim Iqbal, has sought medical attention from a spine specialist in London. As part of the treatment process, he received a few in🌠jections and underwent an invasive pain 💟management procedure on Thursday. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed this development through a press release on Friday.
The 34-year-old cricketer had undergone an MRI scan on Tuesday, and the current observation and pain management procedure are aimed at addressing his ongoing back pain. Dr. Debashis Chowdhury, the BCB’s senior physician, who is accompanying Tamim in the UK, stated that the player will be closely monitored for the next two days, and the outcome of the procedure will be assessed.
Tamim has been in London since last Monday, seeking treatment for a b🌄ack injury he first experienced in November the previous year, ahead of the series against India.
Sources reveal that surgery is not currently considered an option, and Tamim will continue with pain management for the time being. Considering the upcoming major events, the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup, Tamim will have the choice to proceed wi🍸th the pain management procedure or opt for surgery, which would require a longer recovery period.
Ultimately, the decision will rest with the player as Tamim will have to choose the path that h🐭e believes i🌜s best for his recovery and future in cricket.
