Namibia won the toss and was elected to bat at the GMHBA Stadium in Victoria. Ian Frylinck gave the highest innings of 43 runs in 48 balls. Opener Michael von Lingen scored 20 off 19 balls and Stefan Bird scored 19 off 22 balls. In the end, captain Gerhard Erasmus’s 16 off 18 balls and David Eiser’s 11* off 5 balls took Namibia’s total to more than 100. Bass de Leeds took 2 wickets for 18 runs with the ball.

In the run chase, the Dutch got an opening partnership of 59 runs in 8.2 overs. The two openers Max O’Daoud played two effective innings of 35 off 35 balls and Vikramjit Singh 39 off 31 balls. A 33-run partnership came for the second wicket. Bas de Leeds scored an unbeaten 30* off 30 balls. The Netherlands lost three wickets in the next 9 runs and fell under a bit of pressure. But de Leeds and Tim Pringle’s 17-ball 20* partnership helped the Netherlands win with 3 balls in hand.
